Last week Syd's school had a mother-daughter disco event! There were a few moms/daughers that were all decked out, if ws pretty funny! Syd is not afraid to go out and bust a move in front of anyone. I have no idea where she gets that from. I find myself appologizing to my mom a lot these days. Yesterday Hilary (Neaves) Roberts send me a message on facebook that cracked me up. Here it is:
Katie - I didn't see you tonight...but I did see your daughter. She was out on the dance floor ripping it up and looking like Britney Spears (but in a classy sorta way) ... everyone around was clapping and cheering her on. Ask her to show you what she did. I was impressed. She's eight right?
I will say that I was frightened to ask Syd which move she busted out because believe me, we have seen them all and some of them are VERY Britney Spears - yikes! Sure enough these were in her production. What will I do with this child??? To laugh or to cry???

Bargains with Sandra
Inauguration day, spent the morning watching most of it. Then Sandra and I hooked up for a little lunch and dress hunting for Jenny's wedding (Chads youngest sister). (Thanks Linds for watching Shel-shel). If anyone needs a bargain shopper, call Sandra. I had already bought one a dress at the mall and spent about $100. When I showed Chad he asked me when I was going across the plains. Old Chaddy boy is always good for a laugh. Normally I would laugh and wear it anyway, but since Sandra the bargain shopper was available, I took advantage!! SHE is a magnet for deals - dress, on the clearance rack at Target $7.48 necklace, shoes also on clearance! THANKS SANDRA!! What will I buy with my savings?? I'm sure I'll find some place to put it!

Today Jeannie & I took the kids to jumping jacks. I'm sure one of them will come down with some kind of virus or head lice in the next few days. You can't go anywhere with Jeannie and not have a good time. Marcie showed up too a little later. She is always good for a laugh too. Rhylan (jeannie's oldest) had to let some kid know that he butted in line in front of him. Jeannie turns around and the kid had Rhylan face down on the floor in a head lock. Good times, good times. We really live it up when the kids are out of school! (ha, ha).

Once again, gotta take advantage of the snow while we have it. Why doesn't that include me going skiing? Because I have 3 kids thats why. Its all about the kids these days! But, I have to admit its actually more fun. Today me and Linds took the kids behind the 4 wheeler at mom and dads. My 3 and Lindseys 2 all at once. Me and Linds took turns driving or getting footage. No concussions today. No helmets either, what a nurse I am. Check out my drama queen.

Well, its sleigh riding season I guess! My kids love to get pulled behind the 4 wheeler! Chad pulled them around last weekend and Sabrena pulled them around her house too on another day. I think they have figured out that this is just as fun and they don't have to haul their sleigh hiking up the hill!
