HAPPY BIRTHDAY Lil Sista!

MY LIL SIS, THE BIRTHDAY GIRL!

In case you don't know, this is my little sis - Lindsey. For some unkown reason, I got lucky enough to have her for my sister! I just want her to know how much she means to me, she saves my bacon on a daily basis. She is ridiculously gorgeous, kind & patient. I can't imagine my life without her, I totally know that I DO NOT deserve her! She is always happy and is tougher than any other girl I know. Today is her birthday and I want her to know how ABSOLUTLEY WONDERFUL she is!! HAPPY BIRTHDAY LINDS! I had a great time digging up these old pictures of us, which I CAN NOT quit laughing about.
One of my favorite memories growing up is of watching her do gymnastics. I could tell her to go out on the back lawn and do a round off, back handspring, back flip, back tuck, and she seriously would do it! When I think of her as a little girl I picture her with her dark black hair, freckles, lots of missing teeth, a tube top, shorts, and moon boots. (Which my mom still gets crap for). I also remember biting, yes biting her on the butt!! This was long before twilight, so I'm not sure where I came up with that method of torture....... I found it hilarious at the time. I woul totally open up a can if one of my kids did that! There seriously was a oval bruise days later with teeth marks!! Oh my gosh, wild days out on the farm at the Huff's.

The Funny Farm

Well, we do live on a funny farm, and absolutely love it! We sold our subdivision living, brand new home 4 years ago and bought this 50 year old home with ground just so we could "live out". I wouldn't go back for anything. We love living out here. Since Syd is 8 now, she can do stock shows. Chad of course is in his glory. I am trying to get into it, but...... well they all look the same to me!! We got Syd a lamb this past week for the Benjamin and Spanish Fork stock show. Syd is so excited, she named her lamb cotton and has been working with it every night, pulling it around on a halter. I think Chad wanted her to show a steer since that is his "happy place" , but I convinced him that she is a little, well too little to be pulling a big old fat steer around. The Benjamin show has a jr. show that Devin can participate in, but we are still up in the air on whether it will be a bummer lamb ( a small lamb) or a baby steer. Both kids are eating it up, and look forward to working with the animals after school. I think its been really good for them and teaching them a little responsibility!
